INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - - The Ball State track & field program opened the 2019 outdoor season on a strong note, scoring 10 event victories to win the four-team Stan Lyons Invitational Saturday afternoon at Butler's Davey Track & Field.
Overall, the Cardinals scored 172 total points to top host Butler (114), Wright State (98) and Evansville (90).
Leading the way for the Cardinals was sophomore sprinter MaQuila Norman who took home top honors in both the 200m (24.95) and 400m (1:00.65).
Ball State also took home first in the two shortest races of the day, with sophomore Ivy McKee turning in a career-fast time of 12.
