MUNCIE, Ind. — After a 73-56 home loss to Delta on Dec. 15, Central had to take a hard look in the mirror. The Bearcats truly felt like it was a game they could have won.
At 2-5, this season was starting to look eerily similar to last year's 7-16 campaign.
They were not about to let that happen again, not when there was so much optimism for improvement coming into the year. Central watched film from the Delta game, and in its next outing, went toe-to-toe with state-ranked Ben Davis for a half.
That seems to be where this stretch of winning basketball started.
