MUNCIE, Ind. — Walking off the field following a four-game split with Ohio, there was a slight disheartening feeling among Ball State's baseball team.
It was the first time this season Ball State had split a series with a Mid-American Conference opponent. In fact, the Cardinals haven't lost a MAC series since 2019 — the 2020 regular season was canceled due to COVID-19 — but, every year, they've fallen just a few games short of winning the MAC regular season crown.
