Four days into the IHSAA softball state tournament, just two East Central Indiana softball teams remain standing.
Thursday saw Cowan defeat Wes-Del 16-0 to claim its first sectional championship since 2013. The Blackhawks will host Lincoln in a one-game regional next Tuesday. Yorktown, meanwhile, defeated Hamilton Heights 9-0 to set up a sectional championship between the top-two ranked teams in Class 3A.
