MUNCIE, Ind. - - Ball State softball first-year head coach Lacy Wood is set to make her collegiate head coaching debut on Friday, Feb. 26 at the Southern Illinois Tournament according to the 56-game schedule announced today.
That is just one of the three pre-conference tournament the Cardinals are currently scheduled to compete in. Following the SIU Tournament (Feb. 26-28), the team is slated to travel to the Mississippi State Tournament (March 5-7) and the UAB Blazer Classic (March 11-13).
From there, Ball State will take part in a revamped Mid-American Conference schedule which will see the teams play eight four-game weekend series at one site, and a pair of midweek home-and-home doubleheaders versus two other league opponents.
