Shoka Griffin becomes Muncie Central's all-time leading rusher in 17-7 loss to McCutcheon

MUNCIE, Ind. — The run was the same type of run Muncie Central fans have grown so accustomed to seeing the past three seasons. But this one meant more.

It came two minutes into the Bearcats' senior night game against McCutcheon. Muncie Central senior running back Shoka Griffin received the handoff from quarterback Trenton French and ran through the line as at least four McCutcheon players surrounded him.

But, like he's done so many times in his career, Griffin refused to down. Not until nearly half the defense got their hands on him, at least. Griffin churned his legs and carried a pair of Mavericks defenders across the first-down marker and into history.
