AKRON, Ohio – Peighton Gilbert advanced to and competed in the finals of the 50 Free, and the 200 Free Relay team broke the school record on day two of the Mid-American Conference swimming and diving championships.
As a team, Ball State currently sits in seventh place with 87 points. Akron leads the way with 319.
Gilbert advanced to the finals of the 50 Free by clocking a time of 23.33 in preliminaries which was not only a lifetime best, but moved her from sixth to fourth on the fastest 50 Free times in school history.
