MUNCIE, Ind. — Ball State women’s volleyball won the Mid-American Conference tournament title Sunday with a five-set, 21-25, 25-17, 25-18, 18-25, 15-5 victory against Bowling Green.
The Cardinals have now won nine straight matches to improve to 20-11, with wins in the MAC tournament coming against Ohio, Miami (Ohio) and Bowling Green. They will be competing in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2011. And they’ve won the first conference tournament championship by a BSU squad since 2002.

“That is totally, just, the best feeling, to know that — to go and to be able to add on to the awesome history that Ball State volleyball program has had and to be a part of this awesome history,” BSU coach Kelli Miller Phillips told The Star Press after the win.
