Rundown: Ball State programs look ahead with new signees, high school athletes honored

MUNCIE, Ind. — Ball State athletics added a number of new Cardinals this week as prospective Division I athletes across the United States and even outside it signed to continue their athletic careers with respective BSU programs.

Cardinals baseball added eight players, five pitchers and three position players, that coach Rich Maloney said in a release will “play their role in continuing the tradition of excellence we have in our program.” Those athletes are Ryan Brown, Tim Ewald, Ty Johnson, Sam Klein, Eliot Turnquist, Tyler Hinrikus, Aiden Hinds and Decker Scheffler, with Johnson, Klein and Hinds being in-state recruits and Hinrikus coming from Canada.
