SOUTH BEND – Alize Mack is preparing himself for an emotional Saturday.
He doesn’t know how he’ll react when he runs out of the tunnel and onto the field to play Temple. If it’s anything like the spring game, he’ll be crying.
The junior tight end, who played all 13 games his freshman season, was suspended last year after being ruled academically ineligible. He was still able to practice with the team, but of course it wasn’t the same.
After working through last year and summer school, Mack’s grades are above a 2.
