NEW CASTLE, Ind. — William Grieser remembers what it was like to come to New Castle football games when he was little.
Grieser, now a senior quarterback for the Trojans, considered those players his heroes. He treasured the opportunity to be a ball boy for the high school team when he was in middle school. And he always dreamed about rising up the ranks in the record books, about being recognized among the most prolific athletes to play for New Castle.
But while for some time a dream was all it was, an accomplishment Grieser never expected to attain, he had another moment Friday where that dream became reality.
