MUNCIE, Ind. — "Change the culture" is the motto for Muncie Central girls basketball this season, and the team took a step in the right direction Thursday night with a season-opening 58-35 win at Delta.
The Bearcats begin each recent season against Delta, a team they lost to by one point last year and hadn't beaten since 2015-16. That year was also the team's fourth consecutive and last winning season (18-6), and was followed by five poor ones.
Jayla Scaife led that era of Bearcat basketball, and now her little sister, Jasi, looks to do the same in 2021-22.
