FARMLAND, Ind. — After finishing third in sectional last season and shooting a 338 at regional, Central golf coach Larry Alexander told The Star Press, "I'm looking forward to next year already."
The Bearcats were solid in their first season without Keegan Bronnenberg, and losing just one varsity player, Alexander knew his team would have a chance to be contend for the sectional this year.
What he couldn't have predicted then is just how well Central would play in doing that.
Central finished with a 309 Monday afternoon at Hickory Hills Golf Club, cruising to its first sectional championship since 2004.
