MUNCIE, Ind. — They’ll never forget Morry Mannies.

Not Ray McCallum. Not Bill Lynch. Not David Eha.

McCallum grew up a fan of Morry’s before McCallum starred for Muncie Central and Ball State in the late 1970s and early 1980s, and before McCallum came back to Ball State as a head coach from 1993-2000. McCallum always hoped he would hear Morry say his name one day during a Bearcats basketball broadcast. McCallum will always remember Morry as “a walking historian” of all things basketball when it came to Muncie, Ball State and Indiana as a whole.
