Michigan Runs Past Ball State

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Still a work in progress with three rotation players out, the Ball State men's basketball team dropped an 84-65 game at Michigan Wednesday night. The Cards, now 0-2 on the young season, were led by K.J. Walton with 20 points and seven rebounds.

Luke Bumbalough added 13 points and Ishmael El-Amin chipped in 10 with a team-best four assists. Michigan (3-0) got a game-high 21 points on 8-for-11 shooting from Isaiah Livers.

The Cardinals had strong stretches of play in the game, most notably a 19-6 run to close the first half.
