MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State men's tennis team (12-9) took a break from Mid-American Conference action for a mid-week non-conference match against IUPUI (6-18) Wednesday afternoon at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center.
Conner Andersen and Tom Carney kicked the day off with a strong 6-1 take down over the Jaguars Kyle Whittaker and David Beasley at the No. 2 spot. Lucas Andersen and Andrew Stutz then clinched the doubles point for Ball State on the top court. The win over IUPUI's Bradley Luetschwager and Jac Newis wasn't easy for the duo as Stutz and Lucas Andersen were down 2-3 before they broke serve and went up 4-3.
