The Ball State men's golf team will host the Mid-American Conference Championships this week at Sycamore Hills Golf Club in Fort Wayne. It is the first time the event will be held in Fort Wayne and just the sixth time it has come to the state of Indiana.
The nine MAC teams will play 36 holes Friday and 18 holes both Saturday and Sunday to determine the league's automatic qualifier for the NCAA Regionals. Live scoring is available at golfstat.com.
Ball State finished runner-up last year to Kent State at The Virtues Golf Club in Nashport, Ohio, and will take four of the same golfers to this year's event -- seniors Johnny Watts, Michael VanDeventer and Michael Makris, and junior Timothy Wiseman.
