MUNCIE — It’s been a busy first two weeks for Mike Neu.
After he was introduced and really got started in Muncie on Monday, Jan. 11, he was faced with rebuilding an assistant coaching staff. Which would have been a tall task on its own, but he was facing a fast-approaching Feb. 3 National Signing Day.
So Neu has quickly hired or retained all but a running backs coach, a position formerly held by Justin Lustig, and defensive line coach, formerly held by Nick Siatras. Those two spots, Neu said, will be filled after signing day.
“We’ve got enough coaches now to handle the remainder of the recruiting,” he said.
