CLEVELAND, Ohio – Ball State baseball outfielder Matt Eppers was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week for his timely hits in the sweep over Toledo this past weekend.
Eppers came through with a walk-off single to lift Ball State to a 7-6 win over Toledo in Sunday's finale. The native of Bristol, Indiana, tallied a pair of RBI doubles in game two of the Toledo series, including a double in the eighth that gave Ball State the lead for the first time, 6-5. The Cardinals went on to score four more times and earn a 10-5 win.
