Mason, Smith Make History as Scholar All-Americans

MUNCIE, Ind. -- Ball State has racked up numerous academic honors from the United Soccer Coaches over the years. But no Cardinal had ever achieved the organization's highest individual academic honor. Until now.

BSU juniors Tatiana Mason and Lexy Smith were named Scholar All-Americans for the 2020-21 season, making history for the Cardinals program. Both were third-team selections. They were also named to the North/Central Scholar All-Region Team.

Mason owns a 4.0 GPA as an exercise science major. The All-MAC Second Team forward led Ball State with 10 total points on four goals and two assists in the shortened 10-game season.
