LEXINGTON, Ky. - - Battling some of the nation's top divers, Ball State senior Caitlin Locante turned in a pair of strong performances at the 2021 NCAA Zone C Diving Championships, including a pair of top 10 dives on the final day of competition.
Locante, a three-time Mid-American Conference Women's Diver of the Week award winner this season, started the meet Sunday by placing 28th on the 1-meter board. She finished the day with a score of 207.40 at the Lancaster Aquatic Center on the University of Kentucky campus.
However, she posted some even stronger individual dives, starting with the 18th-best dive among the 28 competitors in the fifth round with a score of 42.
