MUNCIE, Ind. — The opening night of high school football is in the books, and it was a good one for East Central Indiana schools. Five local teams — Delta, Yorktown, New Castle, Monroe Central and Jay County — emerged with victories.
There were star-studded performances from those we have come to expect it from, like Yorktown's Reid Neal and New Castle's Luke Bumbalough. And there was a glimmer of the future as Delta's Wesley Stitt scored his first varsity touchdown, and then added three more after for good measure.
