WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- The Ball State women's golf team held off three hard-charging competitors, including tournament host William & Mary, to win the Kingsmill Intercollegiate.
Allison Lindley, whose par on the final hole Tuesday secured the Cardinals' one-shot victory, shared medalist honors with 36-hole leader Liz Choi of William & Mary.
Ball State, which took command Monday afternoon with the low round of the tournament, a 293, closed with a 307 in Tuesday's final round. The Cardinals recorded a 54-hole total of 900 (+36) on the River Course at Kingsmill Resort to finish atop the 22-team leaderboard.
