MUNCIE, Ind. — Steve Shondell is methodical in his approach. Every time his team returns a ball inside Ball Gymnasium, he tosses another over the net for them to receive.
That is, if they run the drill properly. If not, he would hold onto the next ball and explain how it could’ve been performed better. There is no hesitation rotating players out if they make a mistake or, in one instance, lose a shoe.
