Learn about Ball State men's basketball's 5 newcomers: What got them here, what they bring

MUNCIE, Ind. — Ball State men's basketball's 2023-24 roster is rounding into form.

Head coach Michael Lewis and his staff added five new additions — transfers Jalin Anderson, Ethan Brittain-Watts and Davion Bailey, and recruits Zane Doughty and Joey Brown — this month, and 6-foot-7-inch Mason Jones from Valparaiso High School previously committed last fall.

While there is still no update on redshirt junior guard Jarron Coleman's status for next season, according to Lewis, his return would make 14 rostered players, matching the total for the 2022-23 season. Lewis did not clarify if more roster changes are incoming, only that "college basketball is a very fluid situation these days" and he and his staff continue to recruit on a daily basis.
