MUNCIE, Ind. – After a 6-0 win to open the season, the Ball State soccer team knew it faced a completely different challenge with Big East foe Marquette coming to town. But thanks to a late goal by senior Sam Kambol, the Cardinals were able to grind out a 1-0 victory on Sunday afternoon at Briner Sports Complex.
Ball State moved to 2-0-0 on the year while Marquette dropped to 0-2-0.
"I knew it was going to be a tough game because we hadn't yet seen the type of physicality Marquette possessed," said Ball State head coach Josh Rife.
