PORTLAND, Ind. – East Central Indiana wrestlers had a strong showing at Saturday's IHSAA regional meets and continued to prove why they have some of the top talent in the state.
Last year there were 38 ECI wrestlers, seven champions, who advanced to semistate. This year, between the Jay County and Richmond regional sites, 43 area wrestlers punched their ticket and 13 won their weight class.
The hosting Patriots ended Bellmont’s streak of three regional titles in a row.
