MUNCIE, Ind. – Freshman hurler carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning as the Ball State baseball team cruised to an 11-0 victory over Northern Illinois Saturday afternoon at First Merchants Ballpark Complex.
A first inning error was the only way a Northern Illinois (15-27, 5-12 MAC) batter reached base against Jameson until the seventh inning. The righty retired 18 batters in a row until Jake Dunham laced a solid single to center with two outs in the seventh.
Jameson did have some defensive help to keep the no hitter alive, especially from shortstop .
