MUNCIE, Ind. – A new voice on the Indiana sports scene, Jack McMullen is joining the Ball State Athletics radio team and Ball State Sports Properties this fall. A current member of the Fort Wayne TinCaps broadcast crew, McMullen will serve primarily as the voice of Ball State women's basketball.
A Chicago native, McMullen replaces Mick Tidrow behind the microphone. Tidrow, who completed his master's degree at Ball State in the spring, now serves full-time as a broadcaster for BEK Sports in North Dakota.
McMullen's role with the Cardinals includes play-by-play for Ball State women's basketball on WXFN, Muncie's Sports Station, in addition to being the third person on the call for Ball State football with Joel Godett and Rich Spisak on WLBC this fall.
