MUNCIE, Ind. – The ball fell to the floor and then so did the girls.
Cowan had built a 2-0 set lead Saturday in the Class A volleyball state final against Trinity Lutheran only to watch the Cougars rally back in the third and fourth sets to force a deciding fifth at Ball State’s Worthen Arena. The Blackhawks had captured seemingly every bit of momentum, and then watched it all slip away.
