GAS CITY, Ind. — Chris Overholt and Wesley Stitt were the last two to leave Delta's locker room.
They were the last ones off the field following Delta's 17-7 first round sectional loss to Mississinewa Friday night, and Overholt wasn't going to make his way back to the buses until his senior wide receiver did, too.
They talked and walked slowly around the Indians field back to the parking lot on the brisk October night. They could've been talking about the game, or how the Eagles' 7-3 record was one of the best finishes the program has seen in the past decade.
