MUNCIE, Ind. — Before his flurry of game-winning shots highlighted one of the most unforgettable seasons in Ball State's recent history, Tayler Persons and James Whitford had a meeting.
Whitford knew that because his point guard had redshirted a year after transferring to Ball State, he would be able to graduate this summer, making him eligible to be a graduate transfer and play for another school without sitting out.
