MUNCIE, Ind. — A year ago, Yorktown’s boys basketball team looked ahead to its high school season with a measure of optimism it hadn’t possessed recently.
For a number of years, the Tigers had struggled to be competitive and strung together a run of losing campaigns. Walker Moore, a senior this season for Yorktown, remembers how he would walk into practice a couple of years ago and see that no one wanted to be there. Matt Moulton, whose first year leading the program as its coach was the 2019-20 season, didn’t take long to realize how necessary a change in the team’s culture was.
