INDIANAPOLIS – A high school track and field postseason is tentatively set to go on.
Paul Neidig, an assistant commissioner of the Indiana High School Athletic Association, said Monday the state tournament series is still scheduled.
Sectionals are May 19 for girls and May 21 for boys. Those dates fall outside the eight-week period the Centers for Disease Control recommends no events be held with 50 or more people because of COVID-19.
“This thing is a moving target right now,” Neidig said. “We’ll continue to watch projections when the pandemic spikes, when it starts to come down.
