MUNCIE, Ind. — Eight of the state's best volleyball teams made their way to Ball State's Worthen Arena Saturday for the 48th annual IHSAA Volleyball State Finals.
Four came seeking their first volleyball state title. Four came looking to win another.
Here are the stats and scores from each of the volleyball state championship matches:
A: Cowan d. Trinity Lutheran 30-28, 25-19, 21-25, 23-25, 15-5
After winning the first two sets, Cowan (30-4) dropped the next two before dominating the fifth set to beat Trinity Lutheran (30-6) for its second volleyball title.
It marked the first title for first-year Blackhawks coach Melissa-Paul Gardner.
