MUNCIE, Ind. — The bracket is set. The Indiana high school boys basketball sectionals begin March 2 and the championships will be played March 6.
Last year was one of the best ever for East Central Indiana basketball in terms of crowning sectional champions. Blackford, Blue River, Cowan, Delta and Wapahani all won their respective titles. Only twice before (2003 and 2008) have five or more area teams won sectional titles in the same season.
Of course, last season came to a bitter end as the remainder of the boys basketball tournament was canceled due to COVID-19.
