DECATUR, Ind. — Two of our coverage area teams used a big inning to set up a date with one another in the regional championship.
Yorktown defeated Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran in the first game, and Jay County followed that up with a victory over defending champion NorthWood in the second contest on Saturday at Bellmont High School. The Tigers and Patriots met at 8 p.m. to decide who would advance to next weekend's Class 3A semistate at either Kokomo or Plymouth.
