He’s standing in the “bird cage,” that one-court gym in Ball State’s Jo Ann Gora Student Recreation and Wellness Center. He’s looking at a group of eager, Burris volleyball hopefuls there Monday for open gym. And the Owls’ athletic director is telling everyone he’ll be Burris’ head volleyball coach — again.
The girls are excited, but stunned. The legend can’t blame them. He would be, too.
