MUNCIE, Ind. — The Yorktown boys cross country team cruised to a Delaware County title on Tuesday, while the girls team edged Delta for the championship.
Yorktown put up a team score of 29 in the boys race. Delta (62) finished second, followed by Wapahani (70), Cowan (96), Wes-Del (120) and Daleville). The Tigers finished with 35 points on the girls side, while Delta scored 41, Wapahani 59 and Cowan 93.
Matthew Mitsch took first overall in the boys race with a time of 17:31.6, followed by teammates Caleb Bonsack and Sean Weiss in second and third.
