YORKTOWN, Ind. — You couldn't ask for much more in a volleyball match — Class 4A No. 1 Yorktown vs. Class 3A No. 1 New Castle squaring off for the Hoosier Heritage Conference crown.
The Tigers (27-0) earned a hard-fought, Senior Night victory (22-25, 25-17, 25-17, 25-17) over the Trojans (28-5) to retake the conference title that New Castle won last season on its way to a state championship. It would not be a surprise to see both of these teams playing at Worthen Arena on Nov. 3.
Tegan Seyring led the Tigers with 23 kills and Kenzie Knuckles had 14 to go with 12 digs.
