Delta coasted. Wapahani walked off. And just like that the Delaware County Softball Tournament was underway.
The Eagles played the Wes-Del Warriors in the day’s first game and won, 11-1. Delta opened up with a 5-0 lead in the first inning that grew to 7-0 in the second and 11-0 before Wes-Del scored its only run of the game in the bottom of the sixth. The Warriors only managed three hits.
The Raiders faced the Daleville Broncos and had to play eight innings before they were able to advance on a walk-off single that gave them the 6-5 victory.
