MUNCIE, Ind. — Boys basketball officially began Monday, but many teams across the state had their first game on Tuesday. Four local teams are 1-0 to start the new season.

Blackford 90, Cowan 49
The Bruins treated a solid crowd to a blowout win on opening night. Many were there to see the return of sophomore Luke Brown, who dropped 29 points and dished out 10 assists. Teammate Brandon Stroble also finished with 29 while Dalton Willmann added eight.
