MUNCIE, Ind. — While storms ruined much of Saturday's local outdoor athletic events, it was another productive day indoors for many of Delaware County's volleyball teams.
Cowan and Wapahani each won their own invitationals outright, while Yorktown went 4-0 at its tournament and tied for first with Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran.
Gracie Conway had 36 kills to lead Cowan to the tournament title. Alexis Huff added 29, including 10 in the championship win over Beech Grove (25-20, 25-10). The Blackhawks (7-2) also took down Oldenburg Academy (25-14, 25-14), Frankton (19-25, 25-18, 15-11) and Peru (25-13, 25-12). Sky Trimble had 69 assists and 35 digs, while Rylee Mace added 33 digs.
