MUNCIE, Ind. — Central basketball has clinched its first winning season since 2015-16.
The Bearcats (12-10) wrapped up the regular season with a 68-60 victory over former NCC rival New Castle at the Fieldhouse on Friday night. Winners of three straight, they're feeling good about themselves heading into a Fort Wayne Wayne Sectional in which they received a pretty favorable draw.
"I love where we're at," second-year man Chandler Thompson said. "We're still not there yet, but we know the mistakes that we made. ... It's totally different compared to the beginning of the season, when we lost those close games.
