MUNCIE, Ind. — On Friday, Ball State Athletics plans on presenting to the university its return-to-action protocol amid the COVID-19 crisis.

Beth Goetz, BSU’s athletic director, said it would follow the gradual return theme brought up by Ball State President Geoffrey S. Mearns at a May 27 meeting of the university’s Board of Trustees. The plan would start with small groups returning for voluntary workouts and football as it broadens to the basketball teams and other fall sports. It would signal another step in ensuring BSU fall sports will take place this fall.
