How 3 games without its leading scorer helped Daleville girls basketball learn to win as a team

MUNCIE, Ind. – There’s no question how big of a contributor Heather Pautler is for the Daleville girls basketball team.

When she’s been on the floor this season, the 5-foot-10 junior is averaging 17.6 points per game. In just five games played this season, Pautler has had three double-doubles and finished above 20 points in three contests.

Pautler returned to Daleville’s lineup against Muncie Burris Saturday and helped the Broncos to a 67-48 victory. It was her first game back in three-and-a-half weeks.

No team wants to be without its best player, especially not for that long.
