The first round of sectionals in the Indiana High School Athletic Association girls basketball tournament is over.
In East Central Indiana, there were 13 area teams who played in the first round of their respective sectionals. Six of those teams — Blackford, Blue River, Cowan, Jay County, New Castle and Union — who won their respective first round games. The seven others — Daleville, Delta, Monroe Central, Muncie Burris, Wapahani, Winchester and Wes-Del — saw their respective seasons come to an end.
