Of the eight teams in The Star Press coverage area, four — Blue River, Cowan, Jay County and Union — advanced to their respective sectional finals while four others — Blackford, Muncie Central, New Castle and Yorktown —were eliminated Friday night.

New Palestine 63, Muncie Central 30
New Palestine (14-9), which has won two sectional championships in the past three years, will get a shot at another title Saturday. New Palestine beat sectional host Muncie Central (6-11) by a 63-30 final.
