Clay Dungan and Jeremy Hazelbaker are waiting.

For Dungan, a Yorktown and Indiana State graduate, his professional baseball career was just getting started. Hazelbaker, a former Wapahani and Ball State player who had stints with two Major League Baseball teams, is looking for another shot.

Both of the former East Central Indiana high school standouts are among the thousands of professional baseball players looking to solidify their spot in a professional organization.

Normally, Major League Baseball teams would be 30-plus games into their schedule a week into May.
