MUNCIE, Ind. – Senior led off the bottom of the ninth inning with a home run down the right field line to lift the Ball State baseball team to a 5-4 victory over Northern Illinois Sunday afternoon at First Merchants Ballpark Complex.
This was Freed's second walk-off home run of the season as he did the same in a 13-12 win over Miami (Ohio) on April 13.
Ball State (22-20, 10-8 MAC) held a 4-1 lead heading into the ninth inning only to see Northern Illinois (15-28, 5-13) put together a two-out rally to even the score.
